My Favorite Statement Jeans
I am aways a sucker for some statement jeans! I received this particular pair as a gift over Christmas and was so disappointed when I could no longer find them online but if compelled me to make a whole list of some of my favorite statement jeans. I wear jeans all the time so I love when I can find ones that have a different look. Weather it is pearls, rhinestones or patches I love all jean accessories!

Dressing down a business look today because I love a good blazer! I found this adorable velvet one at Bloomingdales and I just love how a blazer can elevate any look into a sophisticated one. I chose to pair it with this plain white top but the best thing is it could really be worn with any color under it! I could be worn to the office or out for drinks with friends and any piece that is that versatile should be a piece that everyone has in their closet. Versatility is one of the key things I look for when shopping because it can be worn so many times and ways while still standing out. I linked all my favorite velvet blazers like this one below!

I love a ruffled top and especially one with a pattern! I’ve been seeing stars as a trend lately and I just think it’s so cute! I bought this top this past fall and haven’t broken it out til now but so happy I have it. I feel it looks so fashionable and could even be festive at any “American” themed party or event! It could be such a cute red, white and blue look. I obviously went with that theme adding this adorable red bag to add a little pop. This top is currently on sale which is such a bonus and I love the silk feel!
Sweater dresses are seriously one of my favorite things to wear! Nothing can beat feeling comfortable while still being fashionable. Although winter is finally starting to come to an end I have linked some of my favorite ruffle sweater dresses before we can break out our real spring dresses! I am usually not a fan of green but loved this adorable olive green and find it a color that I want to explore more. Saint Patrick’s day is coming an although I am not one ounce Irish it’s still a fun day to celebrate so I know I will be breaking out my green. I love the ruffle details on this dress and find that ruffles are a trend that are no wear near going away. Don’t get me wrong I am super excited to start all of my spring shopping but still wanted to get in this adorable piece while the weather is still pretty chilly.
I’m obsessed with taking these jeans right into spring! The flower detail on the side is just so adorable and I love it for this time of year! I paired it with this old school Juicy Couture jacket that I have probably had for 10 years! I just love the color. Although it is obviously not available anymore I have linked similar ones and same with these adorable heels! I love white heels for spring and summer. White shoes are so unpractical in the cold months here in New Jersey with all the snow so I love to wear them as much as I can once the warmth comes out. A big plus about this outfit is that these jeans are still available and are currently on super sale!
I just love sexy tops like these! There is always something about black that helps to make me feel a little skinnier and therefore willing to stand a little taller. Although this top is unfortunately two years old this particular brand is one of my favorites. I often find them at Bloomingdales but can also be found online through their own website! I love their fit and how all of their tops show a little skin without being too revealing. The materials they use are so comfortable and that’s why they have become my favorite.
A day all for me and I can’t wait to celebrate! This dress is currently 50% off and is a serious steal! I love the lace and bell sleeve details! All is linked below! xoxoxo

Okay so I know I often say things are my favorite but I’m being honest this time…this is my true favorite! Faux fur and a red dress are perfect for Valentine’a Day and my favorite way to dress up! You could really wear this shall with anything but I loved pairing it with this funny, flirty red! Any excuse to dress up is a good excuse for me and I take Valentine’s Day and run with it! Even if you are not going out I still find it fun to make a great dinner at home and still wear a great outfit! This dress is a couple of years old from White House Black Market but I linked similar dresses that are perfect for this time of year. This shall is perfect for these last few months winter but Members Only has put out there Speing line too which gets me all kinds of excited for the warm weather! Be sure to check it out! Xoxo

In high school I actually thought I was a bad ass, like I really did. Let me inform you that I lived in a small town with a mother who would barely let me leave the house, a mouth full of braces and pimples covering my face but I still really thought I was cool. Throw that in with then me watching an episode of Son’s of Anarchy and I think I thought I was going to one day be the wife of a motorcycle riding, gun dealing, gang leader. Well I have now come to my senses and realized that considering I have cried every time a cop has pulled me over for speeding, that maybe a life of crime is not exactly in the books for me. However just because Jax Teller has not decided to make me his wife I can still semi dress like it! I am obsessed with this jacket by Members Only! I always love a good leather jacket and the best part about this one is that the sleeves can zip off making into a vest! Versatility is a staple in my closet and anything I can wear so many ways like this piece gets to stay forever! I paired it in all black because I was just in an all black mood today. To get in a little color and a little Valentine feel I topped it off with this charmingly red Burberry scarf. I always love to throw a cute scarf on with a leather jacket (totally not bad ass). xoxo
I know we all want to start breaking out the spring gear but there is still snow on the ground here in Jersey so I’m working with what I can. Lucky thing for me I actually like winter clothes! Sweater dresses are one of my favorite things for winter to dress up in and feel dainty while still staying warm. I fell in love with this particular one because it is soooo flattering! I know I’m hiding winter weight under this dress and it does a great job of concealing it. I paired it with these super warm fur boots that are a few seasons old by Tory Burch but I linked some similar versions below. This dress is so versatile and would be perfect for going out to a nice dinner through these cold months. I found it online through Boston Proper which is one of my favorite online retailers. I always find their clothes so feminine with just the right amount of sexy. Let’s try to enjoy these last few weeks of winter as best as we can! xoxo
Throwing it back to a an outfit with a fall twist but still works for winter! This vest is super warm and great for the cold! The particular one I am wearing is by J.Crew and no longer available but I linked some similar ones for anyone trying to get through the winter. Statement sleeves are also a big trend right now that I have been all over. I paired this comfy vest with this adorable bell sleeve top. I had found this top in an adorable little boutique down the New Jersey shore but linked ones that are still oh so adorable. These over the knee boots are something I have been obsessed with this whole season and am getting as much use out of them that I can before the weather starts warming up. Now that the snow has been gone I have been so happy to be able to break them out and wear them without worrying about damaging or running them through the wet sleet. They are currently 50% off which is really such a good deal! I had wanted these boots for a couple years before I purchased them because the price is steep but they really are worth it and I have totally gotten my moneys worth out of them.
Back from vacation and missing the snow already but happy to be home and getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit! There will be a blog post up soon on everything Whistler but in the mean time let’s get back to outfits! As I have stated before I love Valentine’s Day. Everything about love I am in on. I dressed up this casual ruffle sweater with these fantastic heels and statement necklace. Pearls are a trend that I am still all over and I wear these jeans as often as I can! The combo of Rockstud and pearls made for a great contrast that I feel worked out perfectly. I always love these jeans and the crop leg on them were the perfect way to show off these shoes. The best thing about these heels is that they come in different heights and strap options. The lower heels which are the ones I go for since I am 5’10” come with three straps which I questioned in the beginning because I felt it had a little too many studs but now love the extra bling. This would be a great look to go out with the girls and have some cocktails or even for a casual date. Ruffle sleeves are also one of my favorite trends and make this sweater one of my favorites! It comes in 3 colors and is 50% off making it under $35! Clearly a win win.
Although it may feel like we just got over one holiday Valentine’s Day really is right around the corner! In less than a month we’re going to be breaking out the roses and chocolates and celebrating that great day of love! Sometimes I think I’m alone in actually liking this holiday but I really think it’s a great time to show people that you care about them! Plus I am always a lover of pink and red so this is the time for my girlie side to shine! I have so much Valentine’s Day content coming that I am so excited about but we will start here, taking that old school girl look into a glamorous V-Day one! One basic plaid skirt is a staple I think every girl should have in their closet. It is so easy to dress up or down and can be worn anywhere from the office to an event. For my Valentine’s Day inspired outfit I paired it with this amazing cold shoulder velvet top and these gorgeous over the knee boots. To add a little sparkle I incorporated this statement necklace and a bunch of bracelets. I have always been a big lover of jewelry and how it vamps up every outfit and hey this is the perfect time to be brining out all the jewls! So heres to let’s break out are red and pink and start pouring that champagne! xoxo

I literally don’t even know what to brag about more with this tunic, the fact that I didn’t have to wear a jacket all day or the fact that its 40% off! It has seriously been around 20 degrees all day today and this tunic is so warm that a jacket was not needed at all! I was actually hot all day! I love the bow details on the sleeves which elevates the plain sweater look into an adorably feminine one. One could even wear it as a sweater dress if they wanted to. I am about 5’10” and I even could, although it would have been short for my liking it really could be worn as a dress or with leggings instead of jeans. It is so versatile. Theo only downside is since it is 40% off they are selling fast! The particular color that I am wearing is sold out but there are still two colors available. I am leaving on a trip next week and will be in frigid temperatures so I know this will be one of the first things in my bag! Today I paired it with this scarf to add a different pattern to the look. The tunic has a very high neckline which is great to stay warm but I liked adding the scarf to vamp it up a bit. It also would look great with a long necklace or even plain would be fine. Happy shopping!
Happy snow day!! These freezing temps are making me want to stay indoors all day and well thats what I did. Living and visiting areas that are often cold I learned to buy many different jackets so that I wasn’t in the same black and white coats day in and day out. Statement jackets have become a crucial part of my wardrobe and something I purchase all the time so that I can always have different looks in the snow and cold. This particular jacket was a gift from my boyfriend after he saw a blog post I did with a camo vest stating how I love the camo trend. Since I usually dress so girly and feminine I always liked camo to bring in a little edge and contrast to my usual pearls and animal print. This particular jacket has kept me so warm this winter and I love anything that will allow me to be warm in the snow. Im linking below some of my favorite statement jackets because I think its something that everyone can get into.
Feels like a heat wave here in New Jersey! It is kind of sad that 50 degrees feels so warm but after the freezing temperatures that we have had the warmth is great! I truly only needed this light leather jacket to feel perfect in this weather. I purchased this jacket several years ago and have gotten so much use out of it! Moto jackets have been so in style lately and I love it. The particular one I am wearing is by Michael Kors but is no longer available so I linked some that are very similar. Really any Moto jacket is such a fun and chic look. What made me purchase this particular jacket was the fact that it was “bejeweled” in the front. I think it is so great when they an take a hardcore look like a leather jacket and make it softer with some bedazzling.I paired it with this pink top to elevate the simple feminine look to a little bit more of an edge. The chocker look is one that I questioned in the beginning but I did learn to love it. I am always a big fan of pink and to me it fits right in with Valentine’s Day coming.
The jeans that I have linked are the exact jeans that I am wearing in this picture. They have adorable floral details on the bottom that are unfortunately covered by the boots. They are cut at the ankle so without boots they do get a little chilly this time of year. I do love that they are high waisted and really liked them paired with this look.

Felling like Elvis out here in my blue velvet shoes maybe not suede but close! The weather has finally gotten to the point where I can stand outside and do a picture without totally freezing and that makes me one happy girl! I found this adorable sweater on sale at Nordstrom and fell in love with the ruffle detail. The best news about it is that IT IS STILL ON SALE and comes in two colors! I went with the blue to feel a little like Elsa this winter but the olive tone is just as gorgeous. I always like to show a little skin on my arms and I really thought this was so cute in being an alternative to the typical cold shoulder that is everywhere right now. Don’t get me wrong I have been all over the cold shoulder trend but this “cold elbow” trend is one that I can take up too!
Although in my last blog post I discussed being away on vacation this week, well, sometimes things change. We always have to make the best of every situation and so here I am in a double pom pom hat doing just that. Temperatures are still frigid here on the east coast and I’ve been trying to manage them as best as possible. When I first started thinking about blogging its so true that I really didn’t think about all the aspects of it. You see girls with cute clothes in front of snow and I never actually thought wow they must be cold. Now here I am with no jacket in 20 degree temperature but hey its still fun!
Trying to stay warm in these freezing temperatures out here in Cleveland! Can’t believe how cold it has been lately but I honestly don’t hate it. Next week I am actually venturing to another state that will be even colder…you’ll have to stay tuned to see the next adventure, but it’s a state I have never been so I am super excited! Living in the cold I am slowly getting better and better at dressing to stay warm! Scarves are my must have in temperatures like this along with warm cozy sweaters. I found this sweater last year through a fellow blogger and fell so in love with it! I linked similar ones since this one is no longer available but it truly keeps me so warm (even with my shoulders technically hanging out). The older I get the more I appreciate a good warm sweater but who doesn’t love being able to stay warm while still wearing something cute! As I stated before big scarves are my other must for winter! I love this one for its dark colors but it also comes in another shade and I always love options. I often like darker colors for January so this scarf fits right in with its dark blue ad brown hues. To add a little color I added my Gucci bag that is my serious favorite. Anything Gucci is always so gorgeous and such a win!
Always can use a little throwback in our lives and of course the New Year often brings reflections on the year past. Going through all my old photos of 2017 I came across this one and I brought back my memories of London and how much I love a good one piece. I found this one in Macy’s right before our trip and have worn it for multiple nights out since. When I looked it up now I was soooo happy to see it is still in stock and one sale!!!! It is so comfortable fora night out while still looking caique. The cold shoulder trend is one that I have been all over from the beginning and think it looks so great in a one piece. This picture was taken in the hotel we stayed at, The London Edition, which I really can’t give enough compliments too. It was so gorgeous and we had the most amazing time there! I paired the jumpsuit with these animal print heels to give it a little pop. When wearing all black I always like to incorporate a little flavor into it. Also this Valentino clutch is the best! The studs are perfect for adding texture and vibrance to an subtle outfit. I use it all the time when I go out and don’t want to have to bring a big chunky bag with me. It fits everything I need while still looking perfectly sleek. Here’s to new adventures in the New Year…I really can not wait to see what it brings! Happy 2018! xoxo

These jeans are one of my favorite gifts from Christmas this year! The flower detail I just love and they are under $100! I totally froze while taking this photo but it was worth it. This scarf I linked in my “last minute gift guide” that was up on my blog and I really do enjoy this piece. I adore a big scarf and these blanket scarves are right up my alley. I picked this particular one because I felt the colors were right on for winter. They are so affordable and you can also get 20% off with code hansen20 at checkout. I actually wore it on Christmas Day to help with the cold weather. I have said before I always love detail on jeans because it spices them up. Although sometimes flowers can seem more for spring because of their dark color I feel they are perfect for winter. They can easily be paired with a red shirt to bring in a more festive look.
Sparkle and shine baby! One of the things I love the most about this time of year is that you can get away with wearing pretty much anything and that includes A LOT OF SPARKLE! I feel like wearing sparkle is just so festive and brings out the joy of the holidays. I am not a believer that you have to wait till New Years to break out the shine (although I love it then too). I bought this top probably two or three years ago and was so happy when I was going through the brands magazine and saw that they still have it available. It comes in red and in green so too of the most festive colors! My favorite thing about it is that there is no “itchy” or uncomfortable feeling when wearing it. As I have stated I love sparks and shine but I do often find it difficult to wear do to a lot of it being heavy or itchy feeling. Not a problem with this beauty! I actually wore it on Christmas Eve a couple of years back and got countless complements. It really can be worn to any party or holiday gathering. I also love the cold shoulder effect that is so on trend and who doesn’t want to show a little skin without having to freeze this time of year. I paired it with black jeans rather than regular jeans because I felt the black dressed it up a little more. It would also look great with black slacks or even a cute black skirt. I just adore it for this time of year!
Hope everyone is more on top of their Christmas shopping than I have been this year! Happy shopping! Xoxo

Side note: love the lipstick I’m wearing…called “Romeo” by Lawless Beauty
All the comfiness is coming together for this post! I was never a huge fan of plaid until recent and this top fills my heart. The color is so classic and the fact that it keeps me warm makes me one happy girl. I am wearing it in a small and I love how it gives me a little extra room and is not super tight. This time of year it is so easy to put on a little extra weight to it is nice to be able to wear something that can hide that a bit and I can still feel comfortable! These shoes I wanted FOREVER and went back and forth about it forever. I loved them last year but thought it would be a trend that would fade so I didn’t want to make the investment considering they are pretty expensive shoes. This year when I saw them popping up all over again I knew I had to have them. I contemplated for a while if I wanted them with the fur or without the fur until I finally decided on getting the non furs. I honestly feel I would have loved either pair and it would not have made a difference either way. My first impression of them was that I was surprised with how comfortable they are! I love designer shoes and they are investments I also make but I always et bummed when I spend a lot of money on a shoe and they aren’t even comfortable. So happy that this wasn’t the case for these. I also hesitated to buy them because I wondered what I would pair them with to get enough use out of them to justify the price. I find that now that I own them I wear them all the time and find them much more functional than I originally thought. They could really be paired with anything. obviously two purchases I am very happy with!
Still finishing holiday decorating over here and getting ready for all of the love and warmth that Christmas time brings! Xoxo

Attended my first meatball party this weekend!….yes meatball party…you read it right. Seriously had the best time and my friend Peter is always the best host. Was a little stressed in what to make and what to wear but everything turned out great, especially for it being my first time making meatballs! I attached the recipe I used and no I didn’t make my own sauce or anything crazy like that but they still turned out delicious. Such a cute and fun idea that everyone came with their own versions of meatballs and we all tried each others. You could really do it with any food item and its so cute to see everyone get competitive in a fun way and be so proud of what they created. Just a good way to get everyone together during this busy Holiday season, relax, have some wine, enjoy friends and have some meatballs.
When deciding on an outfit I was between going totally “christmassy” or staying a little more conservative. After trying on multiple outfits I finally settled on this one and loved it! It is one of those outfits that I can see myself wearing a million times. It is just so cute, so comfortable and so functional. These boots literally give me chills they are so gorgeous. Yes the price is hefty but to me they are so worth it because I know I will be wearing them ALL THE TIME! I stepped out of my box a little bit and got the boots with the heels. To me it gives it a more elegant look than just being flat. Unlike the boots this dress is super affordable and great for the winter! I didn’t even wear a jacket to the party and I was not cold at all. Plus it comes in two colors! I was so proud of myself because I didn’t purchase the black option for once. Since I started blogging it has opened my eyes to how much black I actually wear. Not that black is a bad thing, it still is and will always be my fav but just starting to incorporate a littttleee more color.
Meatball Recipe:
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 pound ground veal
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped parsley
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup bread crumbs
olive oil
Mix the meats with the salt and parsley. Add the eggs and bread crumbs and mix all together. Roll the mixture into balls. Put olive oil and skillet and add the balls stirring often just until they are brown on the outside. Put the sauce in a pot and add the meatballs. Cook on low heat for 30-40 minutes. For sauce you can use any that you like from the store. My personal favorite is Rao’s Homemade sauces.
This recipe was from the book: “A Goomba’s Guide to Life” by Steven R. Schirripa
The first snow fall appeared this weekend which makes me SMILE SMILE SMILE! Yes the cold is not the most fun activity but nothing gets me in the holiday spirit quite like some snow on the ground. It is so magical and makes it feel like Christmas is right around the corner! Getting in the holiday spirit I broke out some red for this post! All season long I have been in love with bell sleeves and the love has not stopped yet. I found this adorable top at J. Crew and have saved it to wear this time of year. It is just festive enough without being over the top so you can wear it to any occasion with dress black pants or dress it down as I did with some ripped jeans and rubber boots. It also comes in three other colors which I always love options OR it comes in a two tiered bell sleeve which I also have linked. I never saw the two tiers at the store otherwise I would have purchased it but both options are gorgeous. I’m sure everyone has seen Hunter boots before and honestly when I first saw them I wasn’t really into them but now I am so glad I have them. They are so practical and I love all the bright colors rather than just being in a plain old pair of rubber boots all the time. I also have a pair of insert socks that I normally wear with them in weather like this. They help to create different looks with the boots plus they keep you super warm. I also kept warm in this adorable hat while I stayed in my love for pearls. I couldn’t find the exact one online but linked two that are very similar. Also stayed warm in my always favorite Louis Vuitton scarf. It is an investment but I have two and I wear them both all the time. I also have had both for about three years each and have never had a problem so its nice to know that they last. Stay warm out there and enjoy the season!
Staying warm this time of year is not always the easiest especially in the city! I found this adorable jacket in Macy’s and loved the red for this time of year! I paired it with a simple all black outfit so the red could stand out on its own and scream holiday. What makes it even better is that it is currently ON SALE! I love the different cut angles so that it doesn’t just hang and gives it flattering dimensions that are great for all body types and hiding the not so favorite parts. I love that they also have a black and white plaid that is just as adorable and I have linked it below (although the black and white is not on sale). I did size up so that I have a little extra room which I always like to do in jackets. I usually wear a small in shirts and a medium in jackets (which this jacket is). I always love stocking up on jackets to stay warm this time a year. I have my super warm Canada Goose jacket that I wear whenever it’s super cold but whenever I can stand it I try to mix it up and wear some other options. As the holidays get closer and closer I get more and more excited to wear all the bright sparkly colors. The warmth of the holidays really warms my heart and makes me want to wear all things warm and cozy like this jacket. Also this tree in the background is just WOW. As I said before this time of the year in New York City is really my favorite! Walking around is just so magical! Can’t wait for more holiday content to come!

“My Love for Ponchos”
There is nothing I love more than Christmas time in New York City! The City is always so magical and at Christmas it has that extra magic around every corner that just brings out my inner child and makes me so giddy. For this picture I decided to bring out one of my favorite pieces that I own…my Burberry poncho. I wanted this piece forever and always remember admiring other woman who wore it and always thought how elegant they looked. Although I paid a lot for this particular piece, the great news is that I found these amazing ponchos that are so similar but so much more reasonable! Plus I also have a a provided discount code to make it even better! With the discount code provided below you can get the attached adorable ponchos for under $50! Such a steal! To me ponchos are so perfect in keeping you nice and cozy warm while still looking so fashionable! It really is my favorite winter piece and the perfect gift!
Who knew a Louis Vuitton store could provide such a good background for a picture? Spent a great day shopping in this little outfit. I found this sweater at Macy’s and as usual loved the cutouts in the sleeves. Cutouts have always been a favorite of mine in making a warm sweater a little more airy and breathable. What is so great about this sweater is it is very long which is great because if you wanted to you could wear leggings under it and wear it as a dress. I am personally 5’10” so I thought for me it would be a little too short as a dress but I honestly could have got away with leggings on under if I wanted to, it was long enough. As we know I am always a sucker for black but this sweater comes in four other colors too and one being red which would be so beautiful for the holidays. I splurged on this purse for myself right around last Christmas and have loved it ever since. So many of my purses are black or brown so I was so excited to get a bright colored purse rather than my regular. I love to use it around this time of year to add a pop of color to my outfits. These boots are also one of my favorites with the adorable pearls on the heels. They are one of the best purchases I made this season and would make a great holiday gift. Now to carry on with the Christmas shopping…

Truly all of my favorites are coming together for this post! My love for jeweled jeans, belle sleeves and fur vests all rolled up into one. I have worn these jeans once before in a post but figured they were so good I had to use them again. I get compliments on them whenever I wear them out. I love them for making a fashion staple so much more advanced and stylish. I always love anything embellished and that doesn’t stop with jeans! This plain black t shirt is so simple but also something I love. To me you can never have too many plain black and white shirts. They can match with everything and also go under everything like in this case when it goes under this adorable faux fur vest. This vest is probably five years old! I have had it forever! It is by Juicy Couture from back in the day when their track suits were the must have style. I do think this vest is a good testament to their quality because I have had it for so long and it still looks great and in my opinion has never gone out of style. I love the look of faux fur this time of year when its getting so chilly out. Nothing like snuggling up in something cozy and looking fashionable while staying comfortable. Since this vest is obviously no longer available I linked some similar looks along with the rest of the outfit!
“Staying Warm in Ruffles and Pearls”
Still trying to stay warm here in the Midwest but also not complaining because its time to take out all the warm clothes! I am still totally in love with the pearl trend and want to take it straight through this holiday season. I found these adorable jeans in Bloomingdales and have been wearing them as much as I can. They are cropped at the bottom so now that its getting colder I have had to wear them with tall boots so that my legs aren’t exposed and freeze but its still a look that I love! I paired these beautiful jeans with this adorable ruffled sweater that I found in J.Crew. Love that it is so warm and comfy but still adds a feminine touch with the ruffles. I often find turtlenecks hard to wear without looking blah so I was ecstatic when I found this one. I always love when ruffles are added to any top to add a little more fashion to an otherwise plain shirt. I added this statement necklace because I thought it tied together the glamour of the pearls into the grey turtleneck. Can’t believe we are already so close to Thanksgiving and I can’t wait for it!
“Winter is Coming”
As I have stated in many of my older posts, I have a love for animal print that I just can’t deny! I found this vest at J.Crew right before I left for my trip to London/Denmark and fell in love with the warm faux fur and cheetah detail. This week I am in Cleveland visiting my father and it is quite cold. I really can’t believe how much the temperature has dropped in such a short amount of time. Although I love the warm weather, the cold gets me so excited for the holiday season! I broke this vest out just in time for the cold. To me the animal print is such a statement that when it is on a larger piece like this vest, I like to keep everything else with it basic. To me if there are too any prints in one outfit the outfit clashes. Also we know how strong my love for black is so whenever I can pair things with black I do. This is why I paired this vest with just a simple black shirt and black pants. Don’t want to forget that the best thing about this vest is that it is currently ON SALE. Who wouldn’t love such a cute vest especially when its under $100! For shoes I wore these over the knee boots which are darling. I have had them for about two years now and still get good use out of them. The particular ones I’m wearing are by Tory Burch but because they are old I couldn’t find the same ones online but linked a very similar pair that are still by Tory. Hope everyone is enjoying the cold weather coming and is as excited as I am for the Holidays! xoxo
“Sundays are for Brunching in Faux Fur”
This outfit is all about versatility and that’s why I love it ever so much! This simple black dress is perfect for the upcoming holiday season. For this brunch outing I paired it with this gorgeous long vest. I fell in love with the faux fur pockets and what makes it even better is that the fur can be removed for a more subtle look when desired. The dress comes in so many gorgeous colors and can be paired with so many things to create multiple looks. Paired with a simple scarf or long necklace would give it a lovely simple but cute look. You could easily dress it up a little with heels or even over the knee boots would be adorable! Since mine is black it would go great with a bright red sweater to add some pop for the holiday season.
The vest is also so versatile! Beside being able to take off the fur it can also be paired with so many options. Paired with a dress it is slightly more dressed up but it could easily go with a casual look of just plain jeans. Also I would love it with a black pair of pants and plain black top. It adds a lot of pizazz to simple outfits which I always love! Plus this vest is on sale! Always a bonus! Happy Sunday! Xoxo
“Some Finals of Fall”
Getting more and more into hat trends and really loving it! It helps to elevate an outfit to such a more stylish level. I’m getting in all the last bits of fall before winter is here. I really can’t wait for Christmas and for sure someone who is already breaking out the Christmas music! I found this sweater on sale at Macy’s and fell in love with it. We know I’m always a sucker for a cold shoulder. I usually wear a small but there were only mediums left so I tried it on and actually liked how it fit. I often like sweaters to be a little more roomy so I’m comfortable in them. I found this hat at my favorite hat store located in Lake Placid. Although I couldn’t find the exact one online I found one very similar and linked it below. These boots are also a couple years old so I also linked a similar pair. I love that they have almost a horse riding feel to them…so fall. Enjoy the last falling leaves! Xoxo

“Came in Camo”
I have to admit that even though I always love things feminine and girly I am IN LOVE with the camo trend. I always had a New York Yankees hat that was in camo that I always loved so when this trend came in this fall I was so excited. To be honest I was trying to hold off on posting about the trend in hopes that I could have done a post on my Yankee hat with them in the World Series but unfortunately that dream was not a reality (maybe next year). However, this vest gives me all the fall feels! I love the faux fur around the hood and its nice and warm which is so helpful since its starting to get so chilly here in the Northeast. I paired it just with a simple all black outfit with classic comfortable Adidas. When I was in Denmark and England last month I wore these sneakers everywhere when I was doing all my touristy things. I originally wore them to be comfortable on the plane but in the end was so thankful I had them for all the walking I did. I really love this outfit for a relaxed fall day.
“Scarves on Pearls”
My favorite thing about scarves is it takes a simple outfit and escalates it so quickly to something spectacular. This particular scarf is a bit of an investment but I’ve had it’s for about three years and wear it all the time. Each side of the scarf is a different shade which makes it so versatile and easy to wear day after day. I threw it on with this simple belle sleeved black top to go to dinner in one of my favorite towns, New Hope.
My other favorite part of this outfit has to be these amazing shoes! The pearl detail on the heel makes my heart jump. They are seriously so gorgeous. I love that pearls are everywhere this fall. I always love pearls for their feminine edge. As I’ve said in many blog posts before I love all things feminine so this trend makes me one happy girl! They are also super comfy which is always such a plus. We walked around town all night and I didn’t have one problem of discomfort. There are so many great restaurants in New Hope so we like to go from one to another picking on apps and enjoying great wines and cocktails. On my to do list is writing a post of all the great restaurants there that I recommend and all foods to try at each one. Awesome for anyone in the NJ/PA area.
I have linked all of the outfit details below. Unfortunately the exact bag I’m wearing by Ferragamo is no longer available but I linked the newer version of it which is of course just as pretty.
“The Love of Loubies”
I was obsessed with Louboutins for the longest time and I will say when my first pair arrived I was in awe of their beauty but there are a few important facts about them that I wish I had known from the beginning.
1. Always size atleast a half size bigger than normal. My first pair is my actual size and not bigger and they are tight on me. When they first arrived I was just so excited to wear them that I didn’t care that they were too small and now I’m stuck with them. Atleast for the future I had the knowledge to always size up.
2. They are not comfortable. Plain and simple. To me their beauty more than makes up for it but if your going to be going out for a long night I would either choose a different pair or make sure you have back ups handy. Whenever I’m going out for a long night I always like to throw some flats in my bag so that I have an option for later. Sometimes when doing a lot of walking you need a backup so you’re not the girl who can’t walk back to wherever your supposed to be. We will just say I learned my lesson the hard way on this one.
3. The red on the bottom will start chipping off about .02 seconds into you making contact with asphalt but fortunately there are a lot of ways now to prevent this. Online many sites sell red bottoms that you can simply stick on the bottoms to prevent from chipping. Also many cobblers now know how to apply alternate bottoms to prevent any chipping. My thoughts is always to go to a cobbler because I like to leave things to the professionals. Another option is that some people like the look of the shoe being used and prefer the chips to be in it so it is really up to the owner.
All in all I LOVE my loubies and wear them as much as possible on nights out. These are the exact ones that I have on in this picture.
The shoes paired great with this cold shoulder top that I love. I can’t find the exact one online but I found a very similar ones and linked them here and here. I am always a lover of tops that show a little skin plus I love the feminine touch of the ruffles. Throw on a simple pair of jeans with it and a red bag to add a little bit of color. It’s a simple outfit but one of my staples.
“Jewels on the Jeans”
Ever since childhood I was a sucker for embellished jeans. Jeans were always my favorite staple and adding embellishment just adds so much to the outfit to me. I found this pair in Bloomingdales and fell in love with all the rhinestone and sparkles. I paired the jeans with a plain shirt to make the jeans stand on their own and shine. I also loved the lace detail on the sleeves of this top. I found this necklace at a small boutique down the shore and used it as a little accessory to dress up the top and tie in this black Givenchy bag. This bag is one of my favorite investment pieces because who doesn’t love a great basic black bag. It can go with everything and I love how large it is because I can fit so much in it. So happy that I can wear such a light and airy outfit in fall. The weather has been so crazy lately but I can’t complain about warm days. xoxo.
“Hat Season”
As I have gotten older I found a new love for hats and this one is no different! I always wanted to wear them but when I was younger I was a little more nervous because I felt they were a little bold but now I love them. This top and hat I found in a small boutique when we were down the shore last week. I couldn’t find the exact one online but linked a super similar one. Everything else is also linked! Enjoy this beautiful fall! xoxo

“Sweater Weather”
Fall weather has finally arrived in New Jersey and I LOVE IT! Nothing says fall like pumpkins, guards, falling leaves and of course farms. Growing up in a rural area in New Jersey I had the opportunity to always visit farms in the fall and it was always my favorite activity. Picking pumpkins and apples always brings so much joy and it always so cute to see all the kids running around. The colors are always so gorgeous and is just the best sight. Besides the farms, of course my other favorite part about fall has to be the fashion. There are so many options of adorable things to wear and you don’t have to be as bundled up ad you do in winter. I found this sweater in Macy’s and fell in love with it. Loved the color blocking and the fact that I could just wear a pair of comfortable leggings under it. I paired it with these over the knee boots that to me scream fall. Over the knee boots are one of my favorite fall statements. The pair I am wearing in this picture are Tory Burch and from last year making them no longer available so I linked a similar pair. So happy we are into sweater weather! Happy fall! xoxo
“A Little Pink”
After wearing black out two nights in a row and basically all the time I promised myself that this night I HAD TO WEAR COLOR! I’m in love with this top! It is so soft and I always love things off the shoulder. That will have to be my challenge next time out to wear something that isn’t off the shoulder. I found this shirt at Bloomingdales and feel in love with the material and adorable print. Close up you can see the animal print detail which I loved! Theses shoes are Ferragamo and are just gorgeous. I love lace up heels and these are the prettiest with an adorable bow tied at the top. I got these last year so I couldn’t find the exact pair but found a couple similar that are just as adorable and I linked them below! I have also been obsessed with these burgundy jeans lately so I wore them again to match with this lovely top! I was in Hoboken to visit one of my favorite restaurants Cucharamama. They have some of the best Spanish food I have ever had! My mother is Puerto Rican so I am always a sucker for good Spanish food and besides my mother’s this is the best I have ever had! Started off with some great empanadas, entrees were fantastic short ribs and a seafood stew and finished with a delicious dolce de leche cake. Highly recommend it! Xoxo

“The Jersey Shore”
Been little MIA lately but have been enjoying a little mini getaway enjoying the beautiful state I live in, NJ. Started off with a quick trip to AC. my grandmother was always a big AC goer so I’ve been going there since I was probably 15. I really have no interest in gambling but to me its fun to try all the restaurants and the bars are always great with fun live music and dancing. There are always great shows too that are always entertaining. On our way back from AC we stopped down the shore. Although of course the shore is always beautiful in the summer I find it even more enjoyable this time of year. Not to sound like a total bore but I always enjoy places when they are less crowded and not so over packed. We started off in Spring Lake which had some of the cutest little boutiques I has ever seen so I went a little crazy shopping there. We had only planned on being away for one day so that was my excuse to shop because I needed an outfit for the additional night that I hadn’t planned on. In my boutique shopping I found this fabulous outfit that I ended up wearing to dinner that night. I am always a sucker for black. Its just so slenderizing and sophisticated to me. I’ve been really into different and detailed sleeves lately and I just loved all the ruffles that these sleeves had to offer. To me ruffles just scream feminine which is something I always love! I then paired it with a simple pair of black jeans and some leopard print heels. When wearing an all black or plain outfit I always find it important to bring in some print or color and these shoes were perfect to break up the all black concept. We had dinner in Long Branch at a beautiful little restaurant right on the beach called Sirena. Great Italian food and I would highly recommend it. We plan on going back soon because we had such a great time!
“Surrounded by Flowers and Love”
Do you realize how difficult it is to take a picture in a summer house that is filled with windows? It was worth it to show off this dress but we will just say everyone was tired of me by the end of the night and how many pictures I made them take. I wore this dress for the dinner we attended to celebrate my grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary. To see how happy they were that we were all there was seriously so special. We had a fantastic dinner and it was so nice to be surrounded by loving family!
“Waiting for my Castle”
Waiting for a royal to adopt me and ask me to live here… Apparently the truth is that no royal has lived here in many years and now it has been turned into a museum but still waiting! For me the coolest part of this whole place is my cousin actually got married here! There is a church within the grounds and the rule is that if you live in the town that it is located in than you can get married there, have your children baptized there, etc. Unfortunatley I didn’t make the wedding two years ago but I was so happy that I got to see it while I visited Denmark this time. There is a little mall attached with an adorable walking street that takes you down to this amazing castle. I also loved that on the other end of the water (which was in walking distance) you could sit and have lunch or even just a glass of wine and look over at the water, the building and all the beauty.
It was very windy this day which truly does make me excited to be home to see the leaves change for fall. I like to say that traveling is one of the best things in life but the real best thing is having something that you miss while you are away. That is the beauty in life to me but enjoying this windy day in Denmark was one I won’t forget either.
For my outfit details I fell in love with this top walking by J. Crew right before I left for this trip. I thought it was adorable although I will admit as soon as I walked out to leave my brother’s comment was “Oh look Beetlejuice is here!” Lovely!! But I will say he does always have a comment that usually makes me laugh. Some of my favorites are “you look like a backwards penguin” or “ I feel like I should be doing a tribal dance around you in that dress,” or he will simply roar if I am wearing to much animal print. But…sometimes you need someone to real you in.
I personally LOVE the top! And linked it here! https://www.jcrew.com/p/womens_category/shirtsandtops/sleeved/offtheshoulder-striped-top-with-bow/G9945?color_name=black-white
See you soon back in the USA!

“Exploring Copenhagen”
Copenhagen is seriously so gorgeous! I’m in Denmark to visit my father’s family and celebrate my grandparent’s 60th Wedding Anniversary which is such a blessing! We are staying in a smaller town so we can be close to them but it was so beautiful to explore the city today. The city is so quaint and cute it is so easy to fall in love with it! Cobblestone walking streets with beautiful art, clear water, bright colorful buildings and restaurants with outdoor seating so people are scattered amidst tables all around enjoying their meals. It is so nice to walk around the town and take in the views.
“Off the Shoulder Tops on Rooftops”
Found this top at a cute little store here in Cleveland and had to have it! I’m a sucker for an off the shoulder because I love to show a little skin without going overboard and to me this was the perfect combination. Also the biggest plus is it was only $43 so who could pass that up! I give it a ten out of ten in comfort too which is always so hard to find in cute clothes. I paired it just with simple jeans and some amethyst jewelry. You can find me in amethyst often and the simple answer is that I’m born in February so who doesn’t love representing their birthstone year round. I am a huge lover of jewelry and amethyst has always been my go to when purchasing although now that I’m getting older I’m starting to broaden my horizons (basically because I have too much at this point).

“Florals for Fall…Groundbreaking”
That I am able to bring florals into fall makes me one happy gal! I found this cardigan while shopping at the cutest little outdoor mall in Cleveland. The mall is called Crocker Park and they have great restaurants and cute little shops. Between the florals and lace this cardigan was a must buy for me. I paired it with this adorable tank that added flair with multiple cutouts. I’m always a sucker for black so I just loved wearing black under but I love that the cardigan can also be easily paired with other brighter colors to match the flowers. Threw on these cute little Aquazzura booties that I had purchased online last year. They are so basic they can match with everything and I wear them all the time. Because I am so tall (5’10”) I often don’t like wearing heels so these booties were perfect for me to wear throughout fall and winter.

Fall is Here!
My love for animal print, lace and fall all combining into one! For some reason to me fall always screams animal print! I think it’s the color schemes that to me just work together. I love wearing a somewhat plain outfit and then adding animal print in the scarf, belt or shoes. To me it always adds a fun pop. This top I found at an outlet store while we were walking around Lake Placid two weeks ago. It’s on sale and can go with so many things! Lace has always been a love for me because it’s so feminine and to me just so pretty! Perfect for fall!
Scarves:

I obsessed over this bag forever until I finally pulled the trigger and bought it right before my trip this past January to Jackson Hole, WY. My excuse was it looked “western” which would help me to fit in in Jackson Hole (I still believe this is true ;). I wear it all the time and it really does match with so much.

Rolling Away the Rompers
My love for rompers and denim collided this summer as I lived in them as long as a could. As summer and warm days near their end in NJ it’s almost time to pack it up for next year but not until one good romper post. Found this brand that a love for adorable and affordable rompers and dresses! During the summer I’m all about comfort because it’s too hot and sticky to want to be anything but comfortable. I love this look because it allows me to feel airy while still looking cute.
Also love these shoes by Jack Rogers. For some reason I just bought my first pair this year. I was always a little skeptical of them and didn’t know if I thought the look was a little “too preppy” but I’m glad I came to my senses. This year when looking for denim shoes to match some of my denim summer looks these came up and I knew they would be perfect.

A Night at the Casino…
Last night was my first time in Atlantic City in a while and I had truly forgotten how much fun it is! Between the great bars, restaurants and bands playing I had a blast! This outfit went perfect for my little night out! Love these Hudson jeans that fit like a glove.
http://www.hudsonjeans.com/collin-midrise-skinny-elemental.html
I bought this top at Bloomingdales a couple of months ago. It’s is a body suit by the brand Bardot. Although i couldn’t find the exact shirt online, there are many similar and ALL UNDER $100! They are all gorgeous and I love that they can fit tight without having to worry about them riding up or not sitting properly. At first when I put it on it was a little too revealing for what I normally feel comfortable in. I easily fixed this situation by throwing on a little double sided tape so that it stayed up a little higher on my chest. It’s a gorgeous top!
https://www.bardot.com/shop/tops/?categoryId=1985&minPrice=30&maxPrice=90
My accessories were my favorite part of this look. Love these Christian Louboutain shoes! The red on the soles added for a great pop of color for an otherwise subtle outfit.

Also loved this bag to dress up the outfit a little bit. Heels and a great bag is always a great way to dress up jeans. The bag can be worn two ways, with the chain out or the chain can remain in and used as a clutch. I have used it both ways and love that I have the options! When spending money on a piece it really helps when it is multi faceted because it can be used so much more!

Back to Basics
Sticking to the basics for my first fashion post! I have always loved the combination of black and white ! As I have gotten older and realized that a large section of my wardrobe was black and white I finally felt the need to branch out more. This is when I found Lily Pulitzer and other fun color combinations to start jazzing up my wardrobe and bring in more pop. Since this is my first fashion post I wanted to make it about where my favorites began. To me there is just something about a great black and white outfit that makes it all come together. It’s already cold up here in Lake Placid so today I paired these great ripped jeans with a long sleeved white top and sandals and then added all black accessories. I obsessed over these shoes for months before finally purchasing them! The price is steep but I do use them all the time (my way of justifying it !) They are great at adding a little pizzazz to an otherwise plain outfit. You can shop the shoes here.
The exact pair seems to be sold out everywhere in ivory. I’m sure they will be restocked but in the meantime this pair is super similar, just as gorgeous and currently available in ivory.
Love these jeans by Adriano Goldschmied! He is my go to designer for jeans because they fit so comfortably while still be flattering! I’m curvy on the bottom so I always struggled to find at pair of jeans that would accentuate the good and hide the bad, until I found these. Plus these cut off at the ankle so they’re great when you have on a shoe that demands some attention. I always wait for a good sale at Bloomies and then go a little cray over these jeans.
For great black and white outfits one of my favorite stores is White House Black Market. This shirt is old but was from there and I have worn it to death. I always love going there to check out their new things and they do have colorful options as well. Great options for work and for pleasure while still being comfortable and looking good.
This shirt is similar to the one I have on in the picture.
Although I’m honestly currently in love with this beauty! Nothing like a fantastic lace detail!!
Thanks for reading! Amy Winehouse’s song “Back to Black” will now be stuck in my head all day!
